I just wanted to let you know how much we appreciate your donating the clothing to us to give out to those in need. The people that come in are very appreciative of receiving such nice clothing and for free.
So far this year, we have helped 1,283 families which equals 4,775 people. We have given away 23,616 pieces of clothing!!!! Thanks again to you and all your staff.

"Great shop! I first visited Selective Seconds about 4 years ago before they moved to their current location. I was a newbie to consignment. I use to have garage sales every summer as a way to make a few bucks, but after my first few experiences consigning with Vena and her team I was hooked. I make more money than I did at my garage sales and it is always like a little surprise to see how much money I have made every time I go in or check my account online. I was reluctant to shop consignment at first but it did not take long…I started with purses... a huge weakness of mine… and soon moved to clothing and accessories. It seems I always have money on account and find that not only have I saved a ton of money by buying consigned goods, but it has become a bit of a pastime for me as well. I love the hunt and the find. I visit at least weekly and the staff is SO friendly they make my day every time I enter the store. They also help me put outfits together and because I am in there so often they know some of my favorites and often point a new item out that I have been seeking.
Thanks Vena, Renee and staff for making Selective Seconds such a fun place to shop and visit."

In today's tough economy it just makes sense to shop at a resale clothing store, due to lower prices. Shopping at Selective Seconds is my favorite resale shop in that they only sell top quality used clothing that is carefully selected and screened before being put on their racks. This is nice because I don't have to spend hours sorting through hundreds of pieces of clothing to find ONE fashionable, in style piece without a stain or tear in it (like I would have to do that the Goodwill or Salvation Army!).
Besides the convenience and low prices, I shop at Selective Seconds because I am helping the community. How, you ask? Well, first, purchasing "recycled" clothing is eco-friendly and contributes to saving the environment. Second it helps put money in someone else's pocket (or helps them buy clothing, as well!) Lastly, I am helping support a local business. It just makes sense for the good of the community!
